Why we built PDFCart

An Indian creator should not need a website, a US bank account or a developer to sell a PDF. That is the whole idea.

PDFCart is built by Lokesh Bhardwaj, who has spent the last 15 years building education technology for Indian creators, coaching institutes and students.

The pattern kept repeating. A teacher writes genuinely good notes, a designer makes a template worth paying for, a doctor writes a revision guide — and then loses a quarter of every sale to a platform priced in dollars, paid out through PayPal, with a checkout their buyers do not recognise. So we built PDFCart to do one thing well: let any Indian creator upload a file, price it in rupees, and get paid straight to their bank by UPI.

What that means in practice

  • Rupee checkout. Buyers pay by UPI, card or netbanking — the way India actually pays.
  • Money to an Indian bank. Your share of each sale settles to your own account via Razorpay Route, typically T+1 or T+2.
  • Fees that fall as you grow. 8% on Free, 5% on Pro, 3% on Super. You keep up to 97%.
  • PDFs, ZIPs and full courses. Sell a single file, a folder of chapters, or a whole PDF course bundle.
  • Downloadable or read-only. Protect premium work by selling it view-only.

PDFCart runs on the same infrastructure that powers Igniter’s live-class and course platform for Indian academies — so the payments, payouts and content-delivery pipeline were already carrying real student and creator transactions before the first PDF was ever listed here.

Today 484 sellers use PDFCart, and 1,544 PDFs have been sold through it.
